I've only played Red Rescue Team and enjoyed it a lot until after Rayquaza, that's usually when I stop playing. What are the other games like?

Not sure, I wasn't into MD when it was going on. Just recently decided to try them out with the remake and was pretty impressed. If someone wanted to run something like it then I would be all in. All I know is I remember the final post, and remember seeing the dry erase board stuff.

If you ask me, the remake was great. While it couldn't send up eveything to the current gen, it did as much as it could and its new additions allow it stand proudly on the original's shoulders. I think it's more that a lot of people were down on it for being a mostly 1-1 remake back when march was still incredibly stacked with stuff like FF7R while also being 60 dollars.

Someone suggest me some fun starter combos for Explorers of Sky. I always used Riolu/Pikachu because that’s what I used when i first played it as a kid, but I want to try something different for once.

It's pretty good to be honest. I think the hate comes from people who just hate all PMD games regardless of quality (there's a lot of these people for some reason) and SwShitters who are angry that the mainline game got upstaged by a spinoff.

Nothing really. It's just that there's really nothing to talk about since it's so 1:1 with modern mechanics. No new lore, story, or anything. Even fucking Lets Go had new different content to talk about. It's the same story beats everyone had 14 years to discuss, in a spin-off series where story is the most praised point. There's 4 main mystery dungeon games:

PMD1: Rescue Team
PMD2: Explorers
PMD3: Gates to Infinity
PMD4: Super

I'm sure we're getting a PMD5 in 2022 or 2023, i also hope we get a gates remake.

Main thing I want is greatly increased dungeon variety, imo that's the main reason why it can get repetitive. Maybe then we'll get a game that scores higher than Imagine Party Babyz.

Blame Gates for gutting it in the first place. RTDX's treatment of it was a mercy kill. Now, pressing A to have the game choose the "best attack" for you is dumb, I can meet you on that front.

I don't understand it either. I love the guy's content, but he does have his share of baffling and stupid opinions that scream Nintendo fanboyism. Honestly, the way that other post is worded makes me think it's bait, but he does bring up a good point in that people rarely justify why they dislike the remake. Only real criticism I've seen is that people dislike the aesthetics, which I understand but it still comes off as more subjective than objective.
