Hey /vp/, I’m going to attempt the battle frontier in platinum and I don’t know who should be my third team member. My current 2 pokemon are salamence and raikou. Salamance has roost, flamethrower, dragon pulse and earthquake, and my raikou has toxic, chargebeam, thunderbolt and shadow ball. Sorry if my team isn’t the best, I don’t play competitive ever

Replace charge beam with calm mind and charge beam with extrasensory
Try and get something like metagross for your final pokemon for a hard physical hitter

Also you might want to slap a better move on salamence to hit rock types, like hydro pump if it's a special attacker

What would be replace by hydro cannon, I need roost because I have the life orb on salamence. Also what should be in the third slot, I’ve been having problems with ice types and I don’t know about any electric types that can learn fire moves ( most ice types are dual water)

take a look at your pokemons weaknesses and try to find something that covers them. salamence is weak to dragon, ice, rock, and raikou is weak to ground. find something that covers those weaknesses reasonably well. steel type does pretty good for example because it resists salamence's weaknesses and salamence already is totally immune to the shared ground weakness of raikou and a steel type.
also i think dragon dance and dragon claw on salamence would be better than roost and dragon pulse

iirc those are both egg moves and I don’t want to breed for another Bagon, do you know of any steel types that learn fire type and electric type moves?
