>>43703451>>43702736It's a poorly designed fight and it shows Pokemon can't have proper RPG boss battles. to win, you needed to use something on this list:
1. bulky steel-type
2. zoroark, malamar
3. focus sash
4. toxic
5. spam items
6. overleveled enough to not get one-shot
7. maxed out from amie
Otherwise if you don't, you just get swept and there's not a fucking thing you can do about it until you use one of the above methods. At this point it's not about whether it's easy or hard, it's just about how stupid the Pokemon battle system is when the deciding factor of whether or not you win the fight is if you have -insert specific thing here- otherwise you lose. In contrast, look at Final Fantasy and how they design boss fights. The player always has the tools to win and how you beat bosses is by strategizing well enough. But going back to Pokemon, because of how quickly everything dies, you either get pathetically easy boss fights like Kyurem-B or "potentially unfair unless you have this specific thing" Ultra Necrozma.
They addressed the issue a little bit with the idea of dynamaxing and raids, but Eternamax Eternatus is just disappointing. That entire sequence is just a glorified cutscene that's designed to make the kiddies at home feel like they achieved something with the illusion of effort.
