I’m a designer working on the upcoming DLC and confirm there will be at least one new Pokémon. They haven’t had me work on anything other than this one so I have no idea if it has a pre evolution or evolves. It’s localized name is Scamerchant and it’s a raccoon/tanuki looking creature wearing a trench coat made of black fur. I didn’t get to see it’s typing, but I’d assume it’s Dark. Maybe Dark/Steel because when it attacks, it roots around inside its trench coat and throws out stolen items. The illustration I worked on included him throwing out the fake Sinistea teacup. They gave me some background on this and said it has a new ability called Conman where it switches items with the opponent at the start of the battle, but the item your opponent gets is useless. It can be a sinistea cup or a potion. In rare cases though, it can be something like a big nugget that’s Useless in battle but can be sold after. That’s all the info I was given.
