You're right. Grass move are related to life and nature, so it shouldn't affect ghost. Maybe super-effective against fighting?

Only changes I would make:

But I like your ideas of Fairy hitting Ghost super-effectively but being resisted by Grass

The type chart is fine, the only people who want to change it are butthurt bug-fags and grass-fags whining they think their favorite type isn't good enough (Bugs are supposed to be shit and grass is fine the way it is) or fairy-haters who think Fairy is too strong (It isn't). The only type that legit needs help is maybe Ice, but that would just be fixed if they'd make new ice pokemon more like Weavile and less like Avalugg.

Here's mine that I made ages ago for the custom types crowd.
I'm 99% sure Soap is the only possible new type that isn't thematically redundant in any way. Glue sucks ass but I like how it works out balance-wise.

Cleaning products just don't behave in a way that fits into any of the existing types. If Gamefreak ever wanted to make a soapmon, they'd have to make a new type for it.

I personally think a dual combination with water, fairy or poison would just be enough for a soap themed pokemon, rather than an actual type, it could be single evolutionary line. We've had alolan weezing wich essentially purifies the air
