For new, it's hard to say because the more specific the method, the more particular the kind of Pokemon you'd be talking about. But maybe they could do one where you need to release it and you'll encounter the evolved version in the nearest wild encounter. It'd be a one-time encounter (per release, will be the same mon released), and the encounter rate percentage would be equal to the level you released it at.
