>>43723359The issue with these games is that they only really work for a more slow and comfy play style, where you stop and smell the roses. The game has a reasonable amount of exp to go around if you partake in trainer rematches when you get a call, and a lot of the time based mechanics require that You wait for even a specific day out of the week for certain things. essentially, if you wanna keep pace with the story and play the games with consistent progress, you're fucked. Games like RSE and DPP can do both slow and comfy playthroughs and quicker paced ones, so they don't have this issue. I fucking love hgss, but you really need to be looking for a very specific play style to enjoy them. That's probably why a lot of people hate them, they don't fit their playstyle when a lot of other pokemon games can. It's not an objective flaw, it's a subjective one, but it's a flaw many can't ignore. I think this needs to be pointed out, to many people argue over whether the games offer a good pokemon experience when that good pokemon experience is gonna be different depending on who you ask.
Basically, try not to shit fling and just respect that the games aren't for everyone, but for the people they ARE for, they're basically fine tuned to perfection.
