Filtered. A battle,in gen 4 takes the same exact time as a battle in 3. The speed Only becomes relevant when fighting something like a full EV up chansey.

Gen 4 is the slowest and this is just at an early route before move animations start taking longer and HP bars get bigger
no I am not counting the level up as part of how long it takes, but it's still objectively slower even in the most minimal of battles

Does it? I thought gen 5 did. I know they run at 60 fps, but gen 5 seems like it shows more stuff in the same amount of time. Plus, not engine related, but they still announce weather affects and such in gen 3

The Sinnoh games don't force HMs onto you. The Sinnoh games were actually the ones with the strongest HMs so putting them on pokemon weren't that much of a loss. And Bibarel is the best HMs slave. Complaining about Sinnoh HMs more than any other game is brainlet tier.

I just tried to set this up but the Sweet Scent animation in Platinum takes longer. Then the move animations and end of battle texts take longer. So yeah, Platinum and Emerald are the same speed if you ignore everything that makes Platinum slow and use the touchscreen instead of navigating to "run". I was ready to call you stupid but I'm the idiot for considering your post even for a second.

Dumb reasons but
Platinum is missing a couple pokemon that I like.
I don't like Platinum's battle interface one bit.
Not a fan of the story addition/changes in Platinum.
Absolutely not a fan of the rework that they did to some areas/cities.
I prefer MC's Diamon/Pearl outfits.
Keep in mind I don't give a single fuck about the battle frontier.
I just seem to prefer the first versions of each gen with exception of Crystal. I don't like the changes that they do most of the time. I pretty much have the same problem with Emerald.
