Who even wants the old regions? I think the general consensus is to have the map size be at least two or three times bigger than the last one, or at least be twice as more nuanced in design if it’s going to be the same size or smaller:

Style it after the anime; towns are much farther apart, routes are interesting with random events going on to make the world feel alive (wild pokemon having a turf war, npcs catching mons, etc) and have the towns have more and different shops, and more than just 5 buildings. That's how I'd design a PokeMMO anyway.

by removing Game Freak. Tose (The Dragon Quest Monsters Joker team) could do it, especially since they already have experience making a monster-collecting game and have more employees than Game Freak.

Pretty sure that it would take longer to run from the west of johto to the most east part of kanto then to run from the starting area of galar to the battle tower.
