Why are fan games not allowed, but stuff like this is allowed when the site owners offer stuff like paid subscriptions?

Wouldn't profiting off of an IP like this warrant a DMCA though? I'm sure it violates some sort of copyright law. It's also a bit ironic that the site owners won't allow you to have a profile picture of anything unless if you can prove that you had permission because of "art theft" when that's not only a widely accepted practice anywhere else on the internet, but they themselves are guilty of the same thing since they use Pokemon sprites.

It would, but honestly I never heard of pokefarm until today. Game freak goes after rom hacks because they know that if someone plays something that's better than the product they put out less people will buy

I think it's because it's basically a Tamagatchi but with Pokemon. Not the most novel idea but I'm surprised TPCi hasn't made a game like this yet. And yes I know about the Eeveelution Tamagotchis.
That being said I do remember Pokefarm. Got banned there and I can't remember why.
