They probably should've been gradually introduced rather than all thrown into a postgame event. Nihilego was well done, being fought as an ambiguous lifeform in the main story.
They also need more type variety I think. No Water Ground or Fairy but two Bug/Fighting UBs

They should all actually look alien and otherworldly.

The only ones that look sufficiently weird are Nilhelego, Celesteela, Necrozma, Stakataka, and arguably Guzzlord, Poipole, and Blacepehlon. Xuritree maybe if it wasn't so obviously artificial.

Also why the fuck isn't Eternatus one?

I feel like Eternatus is from an Eldritch like background. A completely different dimension with its own rules and energy. Why it's a run of the mill Pokémon, is the same reason as Ultra Beasts. At the end of the day, anything you can capture in a pokeball is a Pokémon. Having a special ball for Eternatus would be kinda cool, but unnecessary and doesn't add much to the backstory.
