It's oddly cow like for a camel. Also nobody seems to comment that that Maxie gets an underleveled one. It was my first real shiny, so it's pretty cool though.

as a kid i always thought it was weird.

it always looked super bulky/tanky to me but instead it's just kinda slow and frail. I don't know what kinda ability it could get to be better, It'd be cool though because fire ground is an awesome typing.

Either I'd pick a Torchic or catch a Numel on my RSE runs.
I never used Torkoal nor Ninetales. I figured STAB Earthquake was more useful.

Ninetales was pretty fucking useless considering how late game it was and how it couldn't really do anything against most of the bosses that were left in the game.(Maxie/Archie, Wallace, Glacia with 3 Water/Ice mons, Drake, Steven...)
