Adds a lot of quality of life shit and Max Raid Battles are really good.
Despite only having 400 Pokemon, it has such a strong selection of creatures to choose from, and players have plenty of freedom to pick their team among them. Of strong note is that you can use early-game Ice-types now if you so choose to participate in Wild Area.
Most of the new Pokemon that were added and the regional forms were great.
Story, characters, and lack of actual post-game content outside of Wild Area are hurting it. Story is pretty minimalistic with shitty writing, terrible twists, and minimal character development. Most characters enter the story the same way they leave. Chairman Rose's entire plot is half-baked and contrived. This game had so much potential with a UK region and the lore of a royal family, but alas there is not much worth replaying it.
This game is strong on the competitive side and for raising your Pokemon well, as well as making several fully-evolved Pokemon naturally available to you. This game is shit on the story and substance side.
I give it a 3/10. Easily the worst games yet, and this is coming from somebody who hated RS.
