They should just remake the entire game franchise. Keep the designs, focus more on creating a coherent plot with actual lore behind it, creating an actual living world with a timeline, just keep some continuity.

At this point they make literally everything as they go along, no consistency, no continuity, things just pop out of nowhere and then go away. I know they won't actually work on a coherent world but it would so much better that way.
