>>43739148It's not just Dracovish's influence.
Clefable's reign on the top explains the several Steel- and Poison-types in the top 20.
Zeraora in second place explains the vast number of Ground-types and Heat Rotom in the tier.
The Steel-types explain the Electric-, Fire-, and Ground-types.
Dracovish explains the Fairy- and Dragon-types, as well as resists to its STABs like Ferrothorn.
Ghosts explain the various Dark-types.
The Dark-types explain the various Fighting- and Fairy-types.
The Fighting-types explain the Fairy- and Flying-types.
The Fairy-types explain the Poison- and Steel-types.
So on and so forth.
A noteworthy change is that Grimmsnarl this month has more usage than Hatterene, when usually the opposite is true. Hatterene is subject to the vast number of Poison-, Ghost- and Steel-type Pokemon that threaten it, and it doesn't resist Dark-types. Grimmsnarl resists Dark and Ghost, and is immune to Dragon, while also taking neutral damage from Fighting.
This meta is not due to any one Pokemon; it is due to several Pokemon fighting for that coveted top usage spot, and other Pokemon being brought in to check the top ones.
This is the type of meta we have for pre-DLC OU. Once we get the Legendaries and other Pokemon from Crown Tundra, several of these Pokemon will drop from OU, and others will be far less relevant than before.
