Both Galarian Articuno and Galarian Zapdos have a whole portion of their page dedicated to the fact that they don't truly fly. Mega Altaria, Decidueye, and Sirfetch'd show that birds don't have to be Flying-type. What gives?

Gamefreak drawing things out. We would have gotten Rock/Ghost (Stakataka, Cursola, Runerigus), Fire/Fairy (Blecephalon), Electric/Fighting (Zeraora, Zapdos-G)

There are a limited number of unused type combos left and they always release more every gen, so they need to hold off when there are so few remaining

In the case of Blacephalon, it makes sense given that it blows up its own head and produces a new one like a headless ghost. It also steals the vitality of its targets, a Ghost-type trait.

I think a reasonable guess is that it's 125 sp.att will switch with att.
Fighting/Flying is already solid coverage, Brave Bird/Close Combat or maybe High Jump Kick if it learns it will be enough to cause serious carnage, Thunderous Kick is plenty worth looking at too if it's a straight clone of Fire Lash. I'm sure it'll get a decent helping of coverage from TR's too but just it's stabs are already very potent.
