They are trying to make Galarian Slowbro consistent with Kantonian Slowbro, which also have Psychic as its secondary typing. Also, Galarian Slowbro can consciously manipulate the poison from its body and fire it out. Its Psychic-type characteristics are due to it being derpy and stupid, and it doesn't have as proficient control on its psychic powers.

Bullshit, the primary type of Mr. Mime switched to secondary for its regional variant and that's a Kanto mon as well.

Indeed. People are saying it should be Ghost/Poison when the whole premise of the Slowbro/Slowking line is that they share the same typing but their defense stats are reversed. I can't see Galarian Slowking not being Poison/Psychic.

Probably because Galarian Slowbro and Slowking originally evolved from regular Slowpoke (like Koffing/Mime Jr./Cubone/Pikachu/Exeggcute) so they just swapped out Water for Poison, but then they came up with Galarian Slowpoke last minute as a lame way to build hype. It's the most pointless regional form.
