In certain Spanish dubs of Dragon Ball, Bulma's mom was changed to Bulma's older sister, because there are scenes where Bulma yells at her mom. Apparently this is frowned upon in certain Spanish-speaking cultures, so they changed it to Bulma yelling at her "sister."
The Spanish dub of Inuyasha changed Kagome's name to "Aome." How I remember it, Kagome apparently sounds too similar to their word for vagina or something. Pretty interesting that a dub has changed the protagonist's name and kept everyone else's the same.
