>>43760810GO can be played on most phones. Even with the enhanced features, they just won't be activated for older phones. It's also flexible enough to be whatever game you make it. Even with the Coronavirus, they've adjusted it to be playable from home. It's also fine to play as a "slow burn" game. You're more focused on your Pokemon goals than leveling until you hit the Pokemon's CP cap.
Masters can only be played on newer phones, and people weren't out to upgrade theirs just to play it.
Masters needs more coomer appeal to be a popular gacha since that's the usual type of person who whales on them, and less grindy gameplay.
>>43760880Also, Go doesn't have many human characters, but the few they do have that are original to the game (as in, aside from Giovanni and the Pokemon) are interesting and appealing to different tastes without being grotesque. The ones in Masters are cute, but kind of fall flat at times.
GO knows their audience is a bit older than average compared to the mainline base and run on that. Masters isn't sure who they're pandering to, or who they want to pander to. If they did, they could go all out and do better.
Other than that, Masters could benefit from a crossover with GO. GO players try out anything that has incentive, especially if it gives them a bonus in GO.
