Slowbro got both a new signature ability and a new signature move. Will Slowking be similarly blessed? Or would it be better off with existing moves and abilities? Do you think its stats will change? And if so how much? How will it differentiate itself from Galarian Slowbro? Johtoan Slowking?

Poison or Psychic? I'm thinking Psychic as a counterpoint to Slowbro whose signature is a poison move (and also because its more useful offensively).

Maybe it can get a psychic move with a chance to poison, and poison types get badly poisoned.

A trapping or ability-removing effect could also fuck over Toxapex because it loves Regenerator so much. In any case it'll give you a pretty much guaranteed free turn to set up Trick Room, Nasty Plot, or to land a free hit on whatever wants to switch in.

Or, for something a bit more unique and widely-applicable, give its signature move a taunting secondary effect. Sounds OP but they could reduce the base power or accuracy as needed.

Yeah, this is incredibly unlikely. Especially since the line is tied to the two new characters with poison and psychic specializations.

Another good reason why Slowking's signature move will be psychic rather than poison.

Its unlikely but I hope it keeps the psychic/poison type. Psychic/ghost is shit and we already have Hoopa with that type combination.

What makes you guys think Psychic/Dark? It's color scheme is mostly purple. I know it's not a universal indicator, but it's a pretty useful one. Dark Slowking would presumably have a lot more black in it's color scheme

That sounds rad. I hate that fucking starfish.
Funnily enough, the crown of thorns starfish (which Toxapex is based on) has very few predators, but one of them is a the triton snail, which has a shell that looks a bit like Shellder after biting Slowpoke.
The CoT starfish is an invasive species, and people are introducing triton snails to kill them off, so it's nice to know that Toxapex's real inspiration is as cancerous as it is.
