I don't think anyone's realized this but Applin looks like it used Leppa Berries for some design inspiration. Leppas are based on crab apples (which Grav Apple is a pun of). Leppas are stylized to have a red top with a distinct yellow spiky bottom part. Applin has the same thing.

I thought leppa berries were the Pokemon equivalent to apples. How do regular apples also exist?

Cleffa's dex entries always talk about how it is found in places where shooting stars have fallen and how it is said to have arrived to Earth on one. One mentions that it like Minior "for some reason". Cleffa arrive to Earth by riding Minior.

Rayquaza is said to eat meteorites—it probably hunts Minior.

There are apparently lots of folktales about stardust falling into the ocean and becoming Staryu. That info comes from Ultra Sun, so it's possible Minior is related to Staryu somehow.

Last thing and I'm PRETTY SURE I'm the only one who believes this, but I actually don't think Staryu and Starmie's names come from "you" and "me" at all. I think Staryu comes from ryusei which is the Japanese word for a shooting star. (Ryu itself means either "electric current" or "dragon" which is why Mega Ampharos is a Dragon Type and why the move Draco Meteor exists.) Starmie's name is probably just from "army". Because it's evolved now so its bigger and more powerful and its's made up of two stars now.

It's a Dark Type that isn't actually evil or bad. It has "evil powers" but it chooses to use them for good.

I wouldn't be surprised if Petilil nurseries existed for the purpose of harvesting Revival herbs. The dex mentions the leaves "falling out, so it's probably just a matter of keeping the Petilil healthy and happy so they can properly dispose of old leaves.
