They should be in the remakes. But there's a large portion of this fanbase who think improving the shit parts of old gens somehow tarnishes the 'purity' of the remake

Evolutions that were added later should be in, fucking free Crobat. I also liked how FRLG added Mankey early on, improving availabilities is probably a good idea.

It's extremely rare that a fangame has well-designed Pokemon anyway. Even if they do, it's still better if that fangame also has official Pokemon

you can still evolve Golbat just after the Elite Four
If they were to enable Crobat then you'd have a huge gap in the National Dex and they didn't want that for some reason

To be honest, you needed to have caught 50 Pokémon for an Exp Share (or Exp All in the original) so getting 10 wasn't that much of a deal
I miss the concept of getting a reward for catching a certain number of Pokémon in the games

I don't really mind newer pokemon being added to older regions as long if it's like the sound system from HGSS or evolutions to old mon how ORAS did.
Just randomly adding new pokemon is risky but Sinnoh needs more fire types (Sizzlepede line and Talonflame).

I think as long as the remakes still have every Pokemon introduced in the generation that's being remade, the region won't lose it's identity too much

How? Sinnoh doesn't lose its identity because Gen 1-3 Pokemon exist in it, it wouldn't be any different. Obviously bloating the routes with too many would be a problem but just a slightly expanded dex could add a lot.

Actually I find Sinnoh to be the region with the least identity. It mostly took ideas from the first 3 regions and improved on them, but doesn't play as something as unique as before or after

Because some of those have evos in Sinnoh and to pad the routes a little bit (not like how gen 8 has 10+ in every route).
I'm trying to say that 2 or 3 lines are ok but like add an extra 100 would be overdoing it.
