None of these Pokemon are starters, are commonly depicted in games, anime, or other media; or are associated with a gimmick or merchandise. By default it is a Pokemon that is not from Gen 1, and it is a Pokemon that is very unpopular in other gens. Shit like Klang, Eelektrik, Duosion, Skiploom, Sealeo, Lampent, or Zweilous, where few people give a shit about them. Otherwise, it would have to be Glameow and Purugly, as GF went out of their way to make them unavailable in most games, or as an ancillary Pokemon in the post-game. With that said, Glameow had a lot of promotion in the anime and games in Gen 4, but it has since been relegated to a nearly forgotten role.
