Where does he stand in either singles or doubles now that he has Grassy Surge? It's not as big as Liberto but I mean the nigga has Fake Out and Knock Off, and Drum Beating is a sweet move.

Fake out + uturn + terrain is a good combo, especially since he's slower than indeedee. Drum beating or whatever is also ok speed control, between than and knock off you can punish someone even on the switch.

Do Indeedee run any speed Ev in VGC/Doubles? Most I seen tend to be more defensive invested with little to no speed Ev.

He's basically a faster but weaker alternative to Bulu. The additional utility of pivoting and Knock Off is nice, but doesn't make a difference since there are better options with better STAB. Not to mention both Bulu and Rilla got fucked by terrain nerfs.

Bulu isn't even good in NatDex OU, and once he's legal, he'll almost completely replace Rilla.

He doesn't have Horn Leech unlike Bulu, and Leech Seed isn't suited for offensive Pokemon.

Bulu only used bulky sets because of Ash Greninja and offensive grounds like Zygarde, Garchomp, Lando-t, Mega Swampert, etc none of which currently exist.
And Bulu never even had a fairy STAB to begin with.
The damage difference between the two is so small it's trivial.
U-turn is absolutely huge because Rillaboom can pivot into Hawlucha for free.

Except now Bulu will be more potent since it gains play rough, high horsepower and close combat, and offensive grounds like Garchomp and Zygarde will be released alongside Bulu soon.

I agree with U-turn being a good differentiator, but overall there are now way more pros for Bulu than Rilla.

Rillaboom already has High Horsepower and has Superpower.
U-turn and Knock Off are excellent since it means that anything that checks Rillaboom will either be crippled or be staring down one of its Teammates, on top of U-turn allowing Rillaboom to tank a hit for its Teammates or let a teammate tank it with the right resistance.

He is so much cooler without the stupid drumkit. Its neat he's a drummer but him carrying around a wooden drum set is like an eveb stupider and more hyperbolic version of Farfetched's leak. I even like Sirfetch's design but dislike Rillaboom's drums. The sticks alone are fine imo.

Fair point, but I can already tell that very few people will want to use Rilla for pure support when they can use Bulu for support/wallbreaking due to its better STABs and recovery.

Leech Seed is a dedicated move. Lefties and Grass Terrain probably can heal for enough while keeping your moves open. You also have Ass Vest/ Grass Seed options for specific bulk, which will pair well with he recovery
