>>43774680I've been playing OR for the first time, and I'm floored with how much better it's been than RSE as an overall experience so far. I just finished the battle with Norman, and the cutscenes they added actually made me feel emotions as compared to the original which just has him give you a TM and badge with no fanfare. I felt like I'd actually overcome a milestone. The stuff like EXP share and the DexNav as well as having sprinting from the get-go are such nice quality of life changes. And this is coming from someone who regards Hoenn as the awkward puberty of the franchise and his least-favorite gen (for context I think everything pre-gen 4 is basically unplayable now because of the mechanical improvements Gen 4 introduced, and my first games were RBY when the pokemon craze first kicked off). OR has made me like Hoenn.
Granted, I never bother with the Battle Frontier in any game I play and think HG/SS had the best postgame because it wasn't just a boring series of sweaty tryhard nonsense like the battle frontier/battle towers are so that obviously colors my opinion, but OR has made me actually enjoy Hoenn, something I never thought I'd be able to do.
>>43774714You posted video of HG/SS which are the best games in the franchise, so yes. Yes, that is better.
