I'm actually pretty impressed with the creativity behind the new tutor moves.
Let's think up details for the remaining moves, but without copying an existing move (ie no "just Ground-type Scald," etc)

Expanding Force kind of intrigues me. How exactly is the force expanding? Does this move get more powerful somehow based on certain conditions? Is the Pokemon getting bigger/heavier?

Well Nature Power is a status move, so there isn't a move that does exactly what Weather Ball does, but the result is approximately the same.

Rising Voltage sounds like it raises the user off the ground but that doesn't make much sense since then you're no longer receiving benefits of the terrain.

Some fake leaker made up a description for it, and while they're a cunt I actually think it sounded really good.

Their idea was that it was like a super saiyan charge up thing that hit everyone like earthquake, except it was a special fighting type move.

Also some of this moves, like steel roller and misty explosion, appear at the end of the last trailer, in the league tournament thing section. I think if we take out of the list the ones used in the trailer plus slowbro, urshifu and zarude's we could figure out if there's a signature move for a new galarian form in there

By process of exclusion Meteor Beam is the only one that fits Rock type, and meteors have been associated with Rock type in the past (Solrock, Lunatone, Minior). They also seem to have showed Aggron using it.
Granted, this relies on the theory that there is one tutor for each type.

intransitive verb
1a : to glide or skip lightly or quickly
b : to move in or as in a jittery or jerky way leaves skittering over the sidewalk
2 : to twitch the hook of a fishing line through or along the surface of water
Makes me think of something that either (1) increases priority or (2) dodging a move or increasing evasion. Maybe it's a damaging move with an Ally Switch-like side effect?

So the ones we actually see in the trailer are, in order of appearance:
Fire move (Burning Jealousy), Dragon move, Bug move, Steel move (Steel Roller), another Fire move?, Rock move (Meteor Beam), Fairy move (Misty Explosion). Anything I missed? Are we getting two Fire tutor moves?

how did intimidate change again? I'm actually shocked by how many things got changed in Gen 8 and I'm still learning about. like the teleport change or how defog that removes terrain. would be nice if somebody made a list of those or game freak actually mentioned them

Lash Out is probably the Dark move. I would like to see what this move is called in other languages. Maybe it's power is increased if the user has stat drops - so it "lashes out," like you wounded it's pride or something.

Grudges, eh... Maybe it's an offensive PP reduction move. Even if it only reduces PP of the opponent's last used move by 1, that'd be more useful than Grudge right now. As long as it has decent power anyway.

The ones that already have U-turn prefer it specifically for this reason, and because they aren't physical anyway. For Grenigger it is more debatable, running Flip Turn would compress the Hydro and U-turn slot in one which is nice but not always needed.

Good Flip Turn users are going to be slow hard hitting Water types like Azumarill, Crawdaunt, Araquanid, basically Pokémon that can play similarly to CB Scizor. As an utility move it is only good if you don't already have U-turn.

Your idea for Rising Voltage makes me think "Growth, but for Electric Terrain"

Poltergeist, whatever it may do, is at least hopefully a strong physical move. Maybe instead of knocking off an item, it could switch items instead?

Scale Shot and Meteor Beam both remind me of Dinosaurs/Prehistory, my guess is Scale Shot is the signature move for the “Draco” head (it’s a stegosaur that fires it’s spikes) and Meteor Beam might be “Arcto’s” attack (firing an asteroid). This of course depends on whether or not you buy into the theory that the other fossil halves will be found for the DLCs

Oh yeah, jaw lock exists. I guess it is better than crunch if your goal is to trap a specific mon and set up on it? Otherwise it'd be cool if it was rock type. I'm tired of having to use stone edge for every single rock mon. It's not a good move.

Also welcome to my world. At least drednaw is decent in spite of a lack of rock biting move. Call me when your mon gets to the level of galarian stunfisk, snap trap and steel STAB.
