I was really into the gen 7 metagame but lost all interest after the first few weeks of gen 8. Over the last week ive been trying to get back into smogon (been getting back into pokeaim and blunder)

Can anyone summarize the comp scene so far this gen? I know Dynamax and Vish got banned and that teleport is broken? Ive heard VGC is getting super popular now, is that true?
