The only Bug Type I like are Scyther, Scizor, and Heracross. But otherwise fuck Bug Type Pokémon.

unfortunate the amount of mons that get shafted with this typing to be "good early game" with their early evolutions and just aren't good ever. There are bug pokemon that exist that aren't dex fodder / regional butterfly tier, but they're just the exception to the bug-pokemon-must-be-shitty rule.

It's far from my favourite type but there are lots of sick designs. Gens 5, 7, and 8 really did well for Bugs.

Easily one of the best types design-wise, it's consistently great and there's very few I don't like.
I can't even make a top 5 because there's so many good ones I could choose, but I know for sure that the Burmy line is my favourite.
Least favourite is easily Pheromosa. It's ugly, does nothing with its concept, is way too humanoid to feel like a bug without any of the charm of something like Buzzwole and it doesn't even feel like it belongs with the other UBs because of how standard its design is. Absolute mess of a Pokemon.

I love bugs in real life so it's a favorite.

My most favorite is definitely Scyther because praying mantises are my favorite bug.

Least favorite is Wormadam, it's not only bad in battle but its design is pretty trite too.
