Personally I'd say go with Black and Black 2 instead since I think Zekrom as the symbol of ideals being N's Pokemon whereas Reshiram as the symbol of truth being the player's Pokemon fits better with the narrative since N's ideals were extremely strong but he was misguided on a lie by Ghetsis.
Y fits better for Lysandre given the whole thing about wiping out the population although X fits better with the notion of AZ gaining eternal life from the device, kinda leads credence to the possibility of a third version where both Legendaries were used to power the device.
Solgaleo is definitely more fitting for Lillie's character plus the story beats in SM are better than USUM. With SwSh, yeah Sword is probably the more definitive version since Hop having Zamazenta and failing to protect it would kinda reflect Hop not being on par with the Pokemon yet and by the end of the post-game plot being regarded as worthy, although with SwSh it's more of an after thought than anything.
