Not only is it the only Pokemon with Intimidate and Trick Room in one, both of those perfectly align with its lore. They need to take advantage of this niche and buff it around that gimmick.

Maybe nerf its speed and buff its HP and defenses so it can act as a more reliable support mon? Give it access to Fakeout too?
Should at least be decent in VGC then.

seeing this just reminded me of the dream I had last night - I had a stantler and it was an absolute monster competitively, tanking tyranitars and dragonites left and right

1. Make it a fairy tyoe
2. Buff its BST to 680
3. Give it an overpowered boosting move, like maybe one that raises SpA, SpD, and Spe, but requires a turn to charge.
