However I feel the graphics were always a serviceable upgrade from the previous generation, and despite what anons are gonna spend this entire thread saying, they were decent for the system too, just unimpressive. The only instance of truly shitty graphics is gens 1s battles sprites
The issue with gen 8 is that even tho the game is so bare bones and small, the graphics remain just as uninteresting as before, with some added in areas of looking utterly horrible (most of the wild area, and some routes). Gamefreak removed so much for the sake of better graphics according to them and yet they delivered nothing of substance. If content wasn't an issue as well, people would be fine with the games graphics as is, people were praising it before dexit as being a reasonable jump from gen 7, and I actually agree. But the game doesn't make up for it in content and polish like other gens, so in the end it has nothing.
