Here's what I've got so far
Red X = Starting location
Houses = Towns
Those 3 rectangles = Cities
Blue Circle with a dot = League
Cave entrance things = Dungeon
This map could definitely be an open world Pokemon, where you're just running around fighting monsters as you go

Spawn should be a small town near the base of the volcano. You arent able to go up at the beginning of the game but come back when you have the right hm. Maybe the player's home could be destroyed by some evil mischief causing the volcano to erupt
