>>43819619Well one of the things I really like about Gen 7 was that they had people actually refer to you as champion and such when you beat the game, so I'm glad they really elevated the status of that for characters within the world, as characters like Steven or Cynthia, while great, never really felt like like their champion status was stated enough.
Leon is actually proactive in dealing with Galar's problems, and while they could have executed it better in terms of giving players stuff to do beyond the gym challenge, I think it's a good start. It also helps that I like the presentation of the gym challenge in general, it feels like an event, making the battle with Leon feel super built up too.
Sword and Shield is shit, but I did at least like Leon.
