Yeah, I remember my first thought when lance sent it out in red was "why is it so fat?" Little did I know its red sprite was probably the LEAST fat it ever looked.
Gyarados, aerodactyl, and charizard all look like better dragons than the actual dragon of gen 1.

I don’t like either. I only levelled up my charizard in yellow because it learns fly, and fuck catching and grinding a dratini near the endgame for 40 something levels when the only dragon type move is fixed damage.

Dragonite is peak 90's anime preciouscore dragon/dino. Like Icarus from Dragon Ball. Simple and pure. Charizard is basically the same but more rugged in the rocky battle dino style similar to Rhyhorn.
