darkrai unironically might be fine in natdex OU now. It still has a mostly uncontested speed tier, but that role of nasty plot special attacker isn't so special anymore with nastyplot as a TR. Darkrai, Gengar and Rotom all offer far more defensively and hit harder with higher BP dual stab moves.
bad dreams sucks, hypnosis sucks. Thunder and Focus Miss are unreliable coverage.

Hydra is S rank rn and Darkrai is even stronger apart from bulk and Dragon typing, Dark Pulse+Sludge Bomb deals with a shitton of mons already, Focus Blast may be unreliable but you won't depend on it missing to beat it, would you?

Darkrai can't hurt Kommo-o at all. Dark Pulse and Thunder are resisted, and Kommo-o is immune to Sludge Bomb and Focus Blast.

That’s about it, which is nothing in comparison to Darkrai’s speed tier. Being able to naturally outspeed Tornadus-T, Protean Greninja, and tie with Weavile is damn good when you have 135 SpA with Dark/Fighting/Poison coverage.
