The wild area alone is as big as half the Unova routes and I have 300 hours waiting for DLC for even more

Next gen has a high chance of being just as bad, but also flopping financially if people get wise to the shenanigans (most of my friends who got sw/sh seem disappointed with it). Gen x has hope of being good since they will be trying to get fans back.

Didn't even care about the dex drop, just played the game and realized it was trash mid way though, never touched it again until a friend of mine bought it (btw the local linking sucks compared the previous games). Anyway the issue isn't the dex, the games are just plain boring and forcibly easy.

Hey, at least I'm glad I can use an ice-type early in the game.
I fucking hate previous games locking ice-types for late as fuck in the game.
You can basically go into the wild area and catch any type you want to use asap.

No, his actions are the rantings of a man clearly too old to be acting so much like a baby, over a child-focused franchise not being what he wanted and taking his toys away to boot. The fact his complaints apply to ALL past Pokémon games from an adult's perspective is just more evidence that he's more worked up over the dexcut than the games themselves, because I didn't see him spacking out over BW, XY or SM (or even hear of it among the internet of the earlier Gens).
It's funny people grew standards a year ago. It's even funnier to see them crying so hard over the games under the cloak of them today.

Routes 6, 8, and 9 aren't straight lines though. Yeah, overall SWSH's routes are weak, but not EVERY routes was a straight line
