I do, actually. Since 1. the designs are actually creative instead of overdesigned dogshit and 2. It increases the skill ceiling of the game instead of being pointless forme changes that do nothing but make the balance worse.

mega garchomp is only worse because they decided to take away 10 speed and put it in special attack for some reason. if it kept the same speed, mega garchomp would be used a lot more but going to 92 base speed from 102 base speed is really really bad. sucks that 40 out of the 110 (100+10 from speed loss) from the mega evolution boost went to special attack like who the fuck is going to use a special attacker mega garchomp, which has a special attack base stat of fucking 120?
mega tyranitar is basically regular tyranitar with a little boost in its stats (most notibaly in defense and a little in attack and a even smaller amount in special defense) at the cost of the held item. band/scarf/vest Tyranitar is pretty much better
mega charizard X only exists because kanto pandering and Charizard being popular (they said this is reason why only Mewtwo and Charizard got 2 megas). good for those who want a charizard that uses physical attacking moves, ultimately has a reason to exist
mega rayquaza has a reason to exist

Megas would have been great if they were given to mon that otherwise werent very strong but were still popular. Instead they mostly gave it to already strong and popular mon. Once again showing gamefreaks ineptitude

Yes, others mons needed mega evolution to be more competitives or take them out of oblivion (as Mawile, Kangashkan, Manectric, etc...). I don't know why trhey chose to mons that didn't need mega

to this day i still have no idea why they made mega abomasnow. mega banette might only be because dusclops got an evolution while Banette didn't. Ampharos because lol my japanese has dragon in it. mega audino, who didn't exist in XY, well, who the fuck knows why they made that the only gen 5 to get a mega. We know that there was supposed to be a mega Flygon but they couldnt think of a design lol

The games that introduced mega evolution have exactly zero Kalosian Pokemon able to mega evolve, only Diancie got one and that's in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire

It's strange that only Diance and Audino got a mega being the only ones of their generation, maybe they're saving some for future games. It was also rare that Slowking and Froslass didn't obtain and their evolutionary counterparts yes, if they did with Gallade and Garde, why not with them?

Z Moves and megas will be back before the end of gen 8. It’s their new way of keeping the online competitions feel fresh and new. Selling us our old, cut features back to us. I wouldn't mind Mega Tyranitar if it didn't have that dumb looking horn protruding from the top of its head, I get it's a callback to Larvitar but it looks bad, same with the general shape of the body and tail spikes, they don't flow with Tyranitar's body at all.

The other three though are fine, Charizard's certainly looks a bit tryhard and is inferior to Y version but is still fitting for a mega, I guess if there's an issue with Mega Garchomp it's that they reduced its claws and fins into basic scythes, but aside from that it's just a further development of the regular form. Mega Rayqauza meanwhile just looks genuinely good and it's a shame it's gone now.

Yeah this is something they did with a few of the early generation Cocoon Pokemon, Kakuna is another one where its body references its evolution. Honestly it's a shame they stopped doing it, cause it made the whole evolutionary line flow pretty well.

Honestly this, I’m still baffled to why they made mega fug break the one rule that kept megas in check for the most part (the loss of the item slot) when they could of used the Jade orb which was an item introduced in HGSS that was fugs counterpart to the red and blue orbs as its mega stone.
