Fun fact: while OP's map is super nice, the Sevii islands are closer to Hoenn than they are to Kanto. They're the archipelago that's to the south of Japan. (Making one of them, I think it's either 4 or 5, Okinawa.)

Seriously. This is what Kanto remakes would look like if GF wasn't afraid of moving the series forward.
If Kanto-pandering were really like this I wouldn't mind having shillzard shoved down my throat each gen because at least it would acknowledge the advancements the series have made.

Not really, the real life islands are immediately south of the Tokyo area but continue in that general direction for quite a while. They're far from Kyushu.

Okinawa is Evergrande City.

The idea of two regions sharing a League is still really cool. You could go to any of the 16 Gyms and only need 8 to be admitted into the League building. You've got choices.
