Without a Salazzle to defend and lead them, a group of male salandits will quickly be destroyed by other pokemon. It would make sense that both would be appreciate each other. Despite the mind controlling pheromones, the relationship between salandit and salazzle is still mutually beneficial and necessary for both of them to thrive.
