What was the point of this? It barely makes any sense thematically, and it's not like Fire was in need of any buffs (not when compared to the other types, anyway).

If they really needed something to resist Fairy, both Grass and Ice would've made a lot more sense balance-wise.

Tbqh I feel like the sole reason they did this was so that Mega Charizard wouldn't be weak to Fairy.
