>actually involved with the game's story.cynthia is an exposition dump and stands off to the side while you do things. that's not involvement. diantha doesn't do shit either but at least she isn't shoehorned in just to ask the player character to do the shit you were already on your way to do (ie. stop the villain/evil team or legendary pokemon from fucking shit up).
