Sounds awful, even before they boosted the partner base stats, Eevee and Pikachu had BSTs over 300. Pichu and Togepi are both below 250.

It would come in a "gap" in releases, like other remakes. People are somewhat expecting Sinnoh remakes next year, but LG Johto could come then, as they would be considerably easier to make. Honestly, anything wold be fine next year except more DLC.

I personally think it'll come in Gen 9 to plug a gap year. Timeline could be like this:

>2020 SwSh DLC
>2021 DP remakes
>2022 Gen 9
>2023 Gen 9 DLC
>2024 LG Johto
>2025 Gen 10

I feel like they'd still give you Pikachu and Eevee, but with an option to switch out your main partner for Togepi. Then give Togepi all of the perks that Pikachu and Eevee have.

Stop thinking so difficult. Lgpe is based on yellow which happens to have the starter as cover so it make sense to have pikachu and eevee. But all other gens have legendaries and you pick the standard 3. So why cant future lets go be the same? why cant it be a remake of crystal but switch suicune for raikou and entei and you pick the standard 3?

Not anytime soon.
LGPLGE really relied on mainstream nostalgia for marketing. It was capturing the more general GO audience: People who fondly remember Pokemania, but didn't keep up with the series. GSC doesn't have the same draw to those people and they risk people being alienated by a game they have no familiarity with.
Not saying it will never get made, but I don't think it is a high priority, give them 6 or so more years though and the GSC children will be in the same lapsed fan demographic.

That and both Toge and Pi evolve through friendship. If they were incapable of evolving it would be an unfortunate implication of their love for you.
With Pikachu and Eevee, they evolve through stones so of course they could avoid it.

Just wanna say, the games don't have to follow a 'Lets Go NAME' They can make it 'Let's Go 2 Johto' where we pick starters.

Or they can make the games based on Umbreon/Espeon where the starter is always Eevee but they evolve depending on the version, it also reintroduces Day/Night cycle to the games like the orogibals. Since LGPE didn't have it.

I keep trying to tell myself that SwSh suffered from being the first games on Switch and being on Pokémon’s strict release schedule. I feel like now that they have SwSh as a base, Gen 9 will have a LOT more room to grow since they won’t be starting from scratch essentially.

Then you have the Togepi quest in both games and you can hold the Togepi in your hands while your other main Pokémon walks beside you.

Cleffa would be speaking for girls, while Pichu would appeal to boys. And you could have accessories to dress up your main Pokémon!

It would sell like hotcakes.

They should let you choose between Pichu and Eevee and let you fully evolve them this time. They both represent things introduced in gen 2. Pichu can represent the babies and Eevee represents day and night evolutions. Both evolve due to friendship as well.
