Literally every single Expansion Pass does "the biggest update is the second half". It is beyond fucking natural that the part of the game that took 12 months to make is meatier than the one that took 6 months.

Unless you mean the new and returning legendaries as "the meat" I guarantee you the Crown Tundra wild area and "content" are going to be just as shallow as Isle of Armor's

Max Soup. Requires certain rare ingredients, some of which are exclusive to or are most commonly found in Max Raid Battles (presumably against Gigantamax Pokemon). Gives a Pokemon the Gigantamax Factor if its species can Gigantamax. (Possibly also if it is in the same evolutionary line as a Gigantamax Pokemon, such as how we might be able to feed Charmander or Milcery the Soup, since those Pokemon exist as Gigantamax Factor Pokemon.)
Apparently a Pokemon must have "high potential" to drink the soup, which might imply that it has to have really high individual strengths (IVs).

Not really. The entire thing amounts to about the same amount of content as Delta Episode adds to ORAS. The second DLC looks like it’s essentially gonna be the content that would otherwise be added by a third version.

No. Its only sold in the form of a bundle. Cant buy one without the other. The Expansion Pass gets you Isle of Armor in a few days, and Crowned Tundra this fall.

A lot of people are speculating there will be a second expansion pass next year though, with 2 more DLC's in it, both because it lets gamefreak phone in development of a new game while still keeping the a reliable stream of new pokemon to make merch of, and also each DLC adds in just over 100 pokemon, which will leave us just over 200 pokemon short of having them all.

Same. When it's all said and done with 4 dlc packs swooshi has the potential to be one of the better pokemon games.
And you know when they're "done" with it they're gonna release a sword/shield "complete edition" with all the dlc bundled in so those third version fags can stop their bitching

I'm kinda disappointed the Crown Tundra doesn't look more unique, I mean yeah a dedicated snowy Wild Area wasn't in the base game but the environments are functionally the Wild Area plus parts of Route 8, 9 and 10.

The whole strategy is to make you assume something better is coming later so that you'll cope and buy it anyway. Both expansion islands will be about an hour long campaign stretched to about 4-ish through GF's signature freeze frame animation cut to black routine and exposition that never goes anywhere. There will be no more Galar forms past what's been shown. Sword and Shield had a lot more potential in concept but they literally actually realized they can scam you all with Home and sub par products at this point. Screencap this.

Did you even play the Delta Episode to be saying this? The Delta Episode was a single story, having you retread Hoenn, constantly battling Zinnia and past characters, and gave you access to Rayquaza, its Mega, and Deoxys, all the while serving as an epilogue for the game. If you actually played SWSH, you’d know we already got a Delta Episode-like story which was the Zacian/Zamazenta postgame story.

Isle of Armor doesn’t have the bulk of content that Crown Tundra will have, but it still has a significant amount of new content that you’d otherwise expect from a third version title
