It's related to them but isn't exactly an Ultra Beast itself. It's implied to be what mutates Pokemon into UBs or Totem Pokemon.

Necrozma, Solgaleo, and Lunala are all the same as the ultra beasts, but they've existed in the main pokemon dimension long enough that they don't technically qualify for whatever threshold would make them officially classified as one
Regardless, they're all related, have the same origin, and share similar design principles, so it shouldn't really matter to us what the game calls them

No, the beast boost in an adaptation from absorbing wormhole energy, this is stated in SM. And then USUM took it a step further and said Necrozma's light what caused this, and its light radiating across ultra space long ago impacted the life there

That’s attributed to their extremely hostile and powerful abilities, not how they look. That’s why they and the Totems glow with a similar aura to Ultra Necrozma. The life being affected there was not affected literally. There’s nothing in any canon media that suggests they were physically changed by the UW energy.

Don't think you know what "literally" means. If UBs are evolved/adapted to take in and use wormhole (Necrozma) energy, they evolved that way because of Necrozma.

The sole distinguishing factor that separates Ultra Beasts from regular pokemon is in how they work Necrozma's energy into their biology. Totems are just mutated into being big- UBs are entirely adapted to the point where their natural ability is to power themselves up using Necrozma's light in battle.

No, I’m right. There was no physical change to the UBs. Beast Boost is just a passive ability. Show actual proof that they evolved as a result of it.

Doesn't matter. You can catch Abomasnow, Heliolisk, etc. in Ultra Space. Doesn't make them UBs because, again, it's defined by Necrozma's radiation.

UBs are defined by being native to Ultra Space. If they’re defined by the radiation, Totems are UBs now. The whole point of them is that they’re naturally different to what we know and are only enhanced by their passive use of BB. Those other Pokémon were only there because UWs were opening up because of Necrozma’s rampage (something Necrozma was shown doing in the initial cutscene where it fused with Nebby).
