Haha, sorry we couldn't be bothered to make a small, specific animation to better demonstrate diglett being submerged and emerging out of ground. Please understand that even putting the model below the floor at the right height was hard for us and doing our standard fade out and in to black in place of actual animation is easier for us so we can develop new and fun pokemon experiences.

Nitpicking is perfectly fine when the game is on a fucking new-gen home console now.
This isn't the 3DS era where they had to work with the limitations of a shitty outdated handheld.
There isn't any excuse for the games looking as bad as they do anymore, so now we can actually have a field day poking fun at it.
