They breed and travel in packs (in lore). Same deal as the Lati@s and Zarude too I guess, where they function in lore like any other pokemon but you can't breed them for gameplay reasons.

This is how it's always been for legendaries and Nidorina/queen but there's always some idiot that goes, "No the pokedex is made up" or "they have to be unique!" or "It's genderless in game despite everything stating otherwise so it obviously can't breed!" every time it's brought up.

The genders are irrelevant, whether or not it can breed purely depends on if it belongs to the "Undiscovered" egg group or not.

The egg group implies that legendaries and mythical do in fact reproduce, but it's implemented so that you can't manufacture more of them in-game.

It can breed Phione, but not other Manaphy, and there's no way to evolve Phione into Manaphy, and they don't have genders.

Not that anon, but legendaries and mythicals have been different since gen 1 in Japan. It was the localizers that made it all legendary until they realized that TPC actually HAD intended them to be separate things.

Most of them look masculine and have a higher male ratio. The only explicitly feminine looking Fighting types are Mega Lopunny, Pirouette Meloetta, and Pheromosa.

I’m more interested to find out if Gamefreak was lazy enough to not include an option to keep Kubfu from evolving-
I already know they won’t include that option but I’m still not going to evolve it and ruin the story out of spite. Hopefully areas won’t be gated unless you evolve it-
I do expect that though.
