I now know that while it is an incredibly flawed game where you can see the lack of polish and effort in almost every corner, it also did several things in a successful manner and I found myself really enjoying the main game. There were things that I truly loved, which makes me even sadder that the game as a whole was so bad, because in a good game those things would've shone even brighter.
Do I think it's worth its price? Not at all, actually, which is why I'm glad I emulated it, but is it an unsalvageable game with zero redeemable features? No, it has quite a lot going on for it that made my time playing it feel worth it.
I'm glad I got to try it hands on so now I can have my own opinion instead of being a mindless "everything about SwSh is good, shut up dextranny!" or alternatively "swsh fucking sucks ass, nothing about it is good, stupid shill!"
I got to have a good time and judge at the same time, and I don't regret my decision.
