The ice block head having such a blank neutral expression is boring too. If it wears the ice block on its head because it’s embarrassed of it’s real head, then make it so that it’s carved a cool face into its iceblock mask and make it more evident that it hates having the ice cube shattered by changing its stance/animation to actually look like its panicking about not having its ice block covering.
I really think that conceptually eiscue is good it just falls really flat in the bland (in my opinion, I know others may feel otherwise) execution. Make him feel more like a Pokémon and less like a regular penguin with the square tool drawn over its head and we’re golden.
