The only reason you should buy it is because you genuinely don’t want to. It has several new Pokémon, new forms, new variants, new items, new rivals, new stories, new features, new modes, new battle methods, and take place in two completely open and fully fleshed Wild Areas that should’ve been what the main game Wild Area was in the base game

That along with the free returning Pokémon update, and the ability to catch those returning Pokémon and Legendaries in the new areas makes the DLC worth it. If you aren’t interested in that stuff, then don’t buy it
