Hell, I looked at the eshop today, and as fucking atrocious as the E-shop is, there is either a giant sword or shield emblem.

Also it says explicitly 'Sword Expansion Pass' and 'Shield Expansion Pass' in the title of the DLCs.

AND when you purchase it from within the verison your playing, you can only buy that game's pass.

Hate defending Nintendo's E-shop, but neither that nor PSN recognize physical copies in that sense. And by that I mean, even if you have a disc/cartridge inserted, it still lets you try to buy the digital version, though on both platforms, it will show you DLC specific to that particular game as well.

A. Not allowing people to buy DLC for games they have no data for
B. Provide an extra warning given the nature of the DLC
C. Have 1 DLC that detects which version of the game you are playing with
D. Not have multiple versions of Games/DLC at all since it’s such a shitty practice only excused because of nostalgia.

A good developer would have made it a singular DLC and then have certain flags in the DLC trigger depending on which version you have.
